My family is very happy that he is back. He has been gone for over seven months. Please dont turn this into a f*** Bush and the war. He was just a guy doing his job.

Anyone elce have family thats in the war? Ill post some pics that he took soon.
 
How is he? I bet now he knows not to take regular things for granted (like TV or PS2 ) :)
 
He hates tv and ps2. :) So far he eats chips whenever he can. Over there the chips are tomato flavored.

Hes 26. Im 21.
He didnt hate it but he didnt love it over there. He said that it would have been better if they nuked the hole place. People dont respect life over there. He watched two coke venders shoot each other because one guy got the other guys spot. The kids need help. They had mercy pratrols(they would go out and give,water,food,medical aid and candy to the kids and older people) well they lost funding for candy so the kids got mad and would through rocks and glass bottles the troops.

The cities are nasty dirty places. The worst slums in America are better than the best places in Iraq.

When I started reading the post I really felt happy for you, it's nice to see that people get home. I don't support war at all, but I wasn't intended to start a "f... Bush flame" but...

Hey why dont you go over there and get shot at for a few months and see how you would feel. He didnt litterly mean nuke the place. He thinks that the war could have been done differntly so that more people wouldnt die. The life exptancy over there is 20 to 25. disease and shootings have been slowed down by the us and its better than it was when sadam was ruling. but its still very bad over there.

I agree, i dont know half the stuff going on out there, but its unfair to put down their cities cos they are dirty.... its unfair to nuke a country cos of a number of bad people, ok if he didn’t mean nuke them, just handle it differently, that’s fair enough, guess i just didn’t see the way you meant it.

to say they have no regard for life is a bit bad, u sounded like you thought it was ok to kill them, cos they wont mind dying anyway.

just please don’t have the all American selfish "nuke the dirty scum" attitude, that so many ppl(not just Americans) seem to have.
 
wowyouareacow, I am also happy about his brother coming home, but I still can't share some ideas that some american people have. Now i'm said i should't take it literaly... wtf? I know how the US have behaved along history, and I don't mind my country (Spain) supported war. I was in many demonstrations held in my city against war.

Also, I know he might have had a hard time, but they're soldiers, it's their job, paid from taxes americans pay or from wherever they get the salary. they're supposed to be ballanced and not say things like those even joking. It looks outrageous to me. and sorry... I don't intend to start a flame, but I'm tired of seeing the same shit from the US all time. the country of power... money... the country which doesn't respect environmental agreements... and shit :|

When someone shoots at you and tries to kill you its your right to fight back. Well guess what happened over there. He got shot at so he shot back. Ok the nuke quote i shouldnt have posted but in war you have to think about keeping your friends safe. Hes saw some pretty nasty thing and i wont post some of the pics. You dont really know whats its like to live in constant threat to your life and the life of your friends. Yes its his job to fight but dont down him because of it. Yes he believes that the war should have been done differnt. But whats done is done. You cant change the past.
just learn from your mistakes and go on. thats all you can do.

The part about no regard for life is true. Grownup people shoot each other over the smallest things because thats how they have lived for years. Im not downing them for it. The rest of the world was just like them a few thousand years ago. They dont know any other way of life.

You have every right to post that. See that's one thing that's good about America "Freedom of speech and expression" I'm not saying we should nuke them, not saying that all. You do have the RIGHT to say what you will though if people like it or not.

I sometimes question our Right of free speech though. Rush Limbaugh makes one bad comment about a black QB and now the entire media is after him because of it.

my dad went to iraq a few weeks ago. He wont be back for a 4-5 months. He is a chief loadmaster for the C130's in the airforce and flys back and forth to bahgdad(or however its spelled). He told me in the email that they were shooting at his plane, unlike anything he expeirianced in desert storm. The only thing his unit had to fight about in desert storm was about who was buying the beer that night.

You do have freedom of speech in America actually. Rush Limbaugh is a dumbass, and he said dumbass things. The media then crucified him. The governemnt didn't have a hand in it, it's all in the hands of the public. If you say something stupid, and I then call you an idiot - that doesn't mean you don't have free speech, although it means your probably an idiot :p . However, if the government were to arrest you for saying something like that then you would not have free speech.

Anyway, congratualtions on your brothers safe return. I hope theres a lot more stories like yours and we can get our soldiers out of that hell hole as quickly as possible.

Can I even begin on how stupid this is? Freedom of speech does not deny others the freedom to express their opinions about your opinions. I mean all of you asses on this forum jump all over his brother for saying it would be better if they would have nuked the place. THAT IS HIS OPINION AND YOU JUMP ON HIM FOR IT! YOU are suppressing free speech just the same as they do then if that is how you define it by what the hell everyone agrees with. Damn straight in my opinion. I believe those who hold no respect for life do not deserve life. If you would freaking understand what he meant you wouldn't think it was hyprocritical and not just take it at face value.

Also everyone says "America is only rich because they exploit the environment."... uhh DUH. What do you think the benefit is of having a land rich in resources? Prolly the same reason why would you get a job that pays 50,000 a year over 10,00 at the same amount of work. The point is not every country has the same capabilities because they do not have the same resources, you cannot exploit a barren desert to gain profit. That is kind of how the whole global economy works you know? And then someone says oh they have it dirty because they like it that way? Yea I'm sure you can go over their and they will just protest their love for basking in grime and having their children die from disease, and then someone sides with you calling america "babykillers" I mean honestly if you think they aren't upset about their children dying from disease but you think they would be upset for being killed by humans is a tad odd isn't it? I mean sure they are brainwashed with the whole hate america thing and would make a bigger deal out of it, but they wouldn't be caring more about their child out of any honest sympathy.
 
Wouldnt you be pissed to if you gave a 3 year old kid a candy bar only to watch the kids father hit the kid and shove him to the floor then take the candy bar and eat it in front of the kid. well that happened severial times.
The only respect that they have is if your bigger and have a gun.

Er, Iraqi citizens live over the 3rd largest known oil reserves in the world. If they had a government that used these resources to the betterment of the people, the Iraqi population would be living much as the Saudis do now - extremely well, in other words. I know you're trying to make a different point with your post, but you need to pay a bit more attention to facts while you're at it. For the most part though I agreed with you.
