They do this every year when the weather starts getting cold. I can't go on my porch now without being swarmed by them. D:

WHAT DO I DO HL2.NET???

Kill the wasps, leave the ladybugs alone.

Aerosol and lighter!!

Or leave them to it. They aren't harming anyone.

Leave them. They're harmless, just ladybugs. They used to do this at my house too (although not quite that bad).

Just don't annoy them. They leave this nasty smelling yellow scent everywhere if you scare them.

Grow tomatoes in your porch. They're great plant lice repellents.

Buy insect repellent devices and hang them/stick them around the yard/porch.

Love them... I mean, ignore them, but kill the bastard wasps!

I'm having a bit of a wasp problem myself, how the **** are you supposed to take care of these guys without getting raped?

Cutest infestation ever. Or maybe Koala bears (you'll get that one Ennui ;) )

By not making yourself appear sexually attractive to them.

Watch out, you must kill the Hornets in the correct order, or you'll be forced to combat their leader! This guy's hand is all that was left after the epic battle:

Oh god, that's horrible! It's so big!

I remember in 1999 in the city we had an enormous yellow ladybug infestation for some reason (not just our house, the whole city), and sometimes there would be so much, you could stomp on the porch, and it was rain ladybugs for a few seconds (live and dead), it was crazy. Never seen anything like that so far, but lately (since 1 week ago), I've been seeing more then usual (yellow ones). I live in the country now, and haven't seen anywhere near as much..

The yellow ones are bastards though, they bite... I just killed as much as possible. fun times.

Uh oh... upon further research, I think you're ****ed. That's thousands of death heads active in and on your home.

It looks like a ladybug version of The Punisher..

Haha! ...wink :p

Awesome pics btw, you nutted out why they are attracted to your porch?

That 'shopped pic is awesome. The ladybugs do that sort of rot around here. Mostly, there's a smell that'll get pretty ripe sometimes. If you have any houseplants with the creepin' crud, let the ladybugs have their way with them = scoured clean.

Are they the harmless red ladybugs or are they those orange beetles that bite? Think they are called asian lady beetle or something. Really annoying.

Don't want them staying around to hibernate inside for the winter. If they wake up from the warm sun they will wake up and maybe get in the house. :p

Suspects in question:

Either they are the death head good ones, or the humping panda bear face bad ones.

Infestation? I say you have a prime opportunity for ladybug stew.

If you use fire, you could incinerate your porch, not to mention your house.

I go for the chemical option. Unleash some VX nerve gas or 3 cans of insecticide, and you'll be fine (warning: 3 cans of insecticide can be deleterious to your health, please wear a mask).
