My shit portable HD keeps freaking out.

it's a Kepler HD. Some shitty brand that

My father bought it, then gave it to me. It's junk, but I have my Anime and other stuff in there, and I'd like it out, but some 5 seconds after I plug it in (USB 2.0) it freezes the whole comp. The only way to stop it is plugging it out.

The company is so shit I can't even find it on Google. And there is no technical support (duh!).

hmm doesn't sound too good, aslong as you don't have any important information on there then. Have you tried it on other pc's to make sure that its not a fault with your own pc. If it turns out to be a problem with the pc then i would reinstall the usb drivers and any software that came with the hd. If it turns out to be the hard disc thats faulty, then it looks like your going to have to chuck it and get a new one.
