Hi my father purchased a Sony 61inch Projection TV Model #KP-61HS30 about 3 or 4 years ago and i still cant figure out if its hdtv ready and if this TV is good for xbox360 so i can get all good graphics. Can some 1 help me out? I tried googling it so could get a description of the TV but no luck. I read the manual however it had nothing saying about hdtv ready or anything. Heres what it looks like...

Component Video Inputs: offers the best video quality for DVD(480p,480i) and digital set-top box (1080i,720p,480p,480i) connections.

Hi Scan 1080: Enables you to recieve the 1080i,720p,480p and 480i digital TV formats. by using the Video 5/6 IN jacks, you can connect a DTV(digital television) recieever to view DTV programs.

Twin View: Using Multi-Image Driver (MID-X), Twin View allows you to watch 2 programs side by side with the ability to zoom in on one picture and listen to the program in the selected window. You can watch pictures from 2 different sources (1080i,720p,480p, or 480i) simulaneously.

S-Video Inputs: Provides a high quality image for connect equipment.

btw i looked behind tv and i saw the green, bluem and red plug holes

It's talking about 1080i and 720p, so yes, it can receive HD media.

Sweet:)

so is my TV hd ready? but not ready for cable and sattelite right?

What do you mean prime?
I don't know of a TV that dosn't work with Cable or Satellite...my extremely old ass TV's work with my DirectTV......

It should be OK for things like next-gen consoles but as for HD video, you'll need to check whether your TV supports HDCP (High Definition Content Protection) though i've never heard of HDCP compliant component inputs (they're usually reserved for DVI and HDMI).

I think he means it won't work with HDTV channels..which is true afaik because "HDTV Ready" means it 'can' play HDTV, but it needs a seperate 'HDTV' reciever to recieve HDTV signals.

yes thats what i meant.@alig

but i dont care about watching tv on HDTV. i just want my xbox360 to look good:D
