That's right. I spilled some water accidently onto my desk, and some of it got into the keyboard.
I type perfectly in Notepad(which is what I'm using to get rid of the ****ed upness)

When I type in IE, when I hit the space bar,it immediatly clicks on the address bar's button that brings
the links down. Is there a way to fix that? Or will I need a new keyboard?

liquid is a keyboard's worst enemy...sorry to say, but youll probally have to get a new one :\

you could try using opening it up and letting loose a hair dryer on it , but ive never heard of that working ;) whatcha got to loose??

:afro:

But it only happens in IE. I type regularly in other programs. And,I got the water out. It didn't dry inside.

Restart my PC? Haven't thought of that yet. And I've been trying to take off the bar itself, that way I can blooooowww away. And hopefully,no more jumping-back-to-address-bar-while typing.

Hahah, thanks for the laugh.

Yeah, I messed up my new keyboard a few weeks ago by spilling tea all over it. :( Brand new wireless keyboard, only lasted about 10 days. I tried drying it, but only a few keys worked after that. Now I'm forced to use a crappy £5 keyboard with a knackered shift key.

Restarting your PC should fix that spacebar thing, sometimes when I'm online pressing "R" will open Run, and half the other keys don't work at all, so annoying, and I can't find a way to stop it without restarting.

Buy a new keyboard, they aren't expensive...

Sounds kinda like the problem where you have to push the alt and ctrl keys several times.

man that sucks, ive spilled at least 3-4 beer on my keyboard and it still works

Thats because beer is a healing agent.

I think restarting is my only option. Maybe my dad some keyboards lying around,he keeps his old PC parts. And when one part breaks, instead of buying a new one,if he has that part,he'll replace it himself.

Haven't you restarted yet? lol

I really need a new keyboard, but I can't get a lift to Curry's (it's about 5 miles away, and the only place that sells keyboards and stuff near us), and I can't be bothered to walk there just for a new keyboard. Meh.

buy a key tronic...they last for ever.

Mine is like 5-7 years old and i spilled water/liquids modded it to death (almost) and it still works!

you gotta love Key tronic :)

No,I haven't restarted yet. I use the hibernation thing, which means in general, that my PC's off,but not really off. Right when I hit the power off button on my case,it goes into hibernation mode. Which means, the pc saves a file of what programs I had running, what I had open, what web page I was at,etc. It's like leaving your PC on,but it's off.

Yup, sometimes Windows gets all funny like ALT is stuck down.

I have found that banging away at CTRL, SHIFT and ALT (together) a few times seems to fix the problem.

my friend spilled mountain dew on my keyboard.

i made the ****er buy me a logtech elite

much better than the generic brand he broke :p

I got a new keyboard! I'm gonna have to get used to this one though. Feels extremely wierd.
