2 rifle Models..

Hi.. these are my first 2 models i have ever made in max. The first one is an AK5, used by the Swedish army. This one is also mapped by me and I have made animations on it too. The second one is a Sako TRG-42 sniper rifle, it's not all done, has some errors on the grip i will work on. But still a step on the way..

AK5, 3400 triangles (I know it's way to many triangles but I noticed that after i'd mapped it..:p dont have the strength to mapp it all over again..;))

And the flat.. Im not to good at this yet so i'd be very very happy if you had some tips..

Comments and critics thanks.

i doubt those are ur first models. in any case its nice model work but u need to develop ur texturing skills if u post the flats ill be able to coment more.

It sure is myfirst modells. The AK5 was the first thing i did and i used it to learn how to modell. I'm a fast learner you know.. ill post the flat when I get home from school..

Thanks for the comments guys=) makes me wanna do more..

cram your maps together as much as possible, save as much space so you can do it at a higher resolution.

yeh it is abit gappy. in xsi it leaks the background colour into you uv its gay xsi sucks! what is happening to me??! lol im gona learn 3ds max.

yeah crackhead.. go for 3ds max.. its pretty easy to learn=)

cool. seeing as i have already learnt a few techniques for modeling weapons, people etc changing programs shouldnt be too bad it would just be learning the controls. also theres so much more documentation for 3dsm. also i have cinema 4d v9. so i gona learn that.

1) the texture is extremely plain its jut color with some black and white overlay ..it needs more death some noise some distortion and waethering to build up the metal. dont just airbrush black on top of the model it wont get you the desired effect u need to make proper use of gaussian blur and gradient fills for hard surfaces.
i sugest you go an open some texture files from cs models or css models and check it out.

mindless moder the pictures link fine. also i think you meant depth not death lol.
