N00b To Moddeling

Ok im totally new to modelling ive never done any before in my life but since hl2 is coming out soon i wanna give it a go so i can create custom content for the game.

Ive had alook around the forum and it seems 3Ds max is the better of the 3 programs to use ... problem is it cost quite a bit to register the product but thats no problem since i can charge it to my dads company account

Anyway is any advice/tutorials you guys can recommend before i start?

Tbh, they are loads and yes theya re anoying. But when I go to a forum I don't search for a thread that has already been made on the subject. I would just ask like him, infact I did ask just like him. Its part of the forums lads, just try and deal with it because its not going to go away.
