I'm new here, but not to Half-Life. I've been playing the original since `99 and didn't waste a minute purchasing Opposing Force when it came out (though Blue Shift didn't sit in my collection until `02...). I have no idea how to edit or create a single damned thing in any of the games, unless it's the cheapy console creating commands, which allow me to make many a grunt during the Osprey air assault portion of Surface Tension. All attempts to create maps, characters, or anything of the like have resulted in...unforeseen consequences for my computer. I do particularly enjoy Half-Life 2 and can't seem to get myself to go back to the late-90's graphics of HL now that I've seen the other side. No, I don't play Counter-Strike, much less any games online mostly due to the disasterous effects it has had on my computer in the past. This, no doubt, explains why I do not enjoy having to download stuff from Steam to play Half-Life 2 or any other future VALVe game (not to mention the fact I have a terribly slow dial-up Internet, which causes installed Half-Life 2 to take upwards of 4 hours! :x ).
Beyond that, I love Half-Life, but love making fun/jokes about it even more! My favorite character of all time is Walter Bennett and I hate the crazy-Mexican-jumping zombies in Ravenholm (for that matter, I hate that entire town...nightmares!). I also like to write stories and am currently working on a story about a platoon of Marines who were among the first into Black Mesa. The story will give my idea of who the 'BlackOps' are and for whom they work.
Oh, yeah, in case you're wondering, I AM the Gman!
...or at least I was.
