I still think this is the best earth picture ever taken. By far beats the blue marble.

The image (right) from October 24, 1946, was taken at an altitude of 65 miles by a 35mm camera within a V-2 missile and showed the first pictures of Earth as seen from space. The missile which had been taken from the Germans at the end of World War II and was launched in the New Mexico desert

Wow, God does great work.

While Earth may not have been God's greatest creation, it is certainly one of His most beautiful and familiar. It stands as a testament to the grandure and love of God's creatiivity. And, while there are great problems on the planet, it should also stand as a reminder that no problem is so great, no threat is so dire, that those problems cannot be dealt with successfully by faith in Jesus Christ. Every problem on earth centers on the sinful nature of each individual person. Each hope derives from the forgiveness found in the only begotten Son of God.
