So the next project is likely going to be NS on the Source engine. We don't know for sure if we're doing this, as we haven't had time to evaluate how much work it will be, but everyone on the team is excited to do it, so I think it will happen. We don't know yet if it is going to be a straight port over to Source, or if we're going to redo a lot of the artwork/animations, or if we're going to change a lot of the fundamental gameplay (flamethrowers, physics, etc.). We need to look into it more, see how many months it's going to take (the bad part) and then make a decision. As soon as we know, we'll let you guys know. NS on Source will be done primarily by the current NS team. I'll be doing the game design and overall direction, but the NS team will be doing all the actual work.

"w00t w00t!!!" is all I have to say...
;)

Yep good news. I think graphics alone would be a big draw card for expanding the community.

I always loved NS, but their most recent campaign of dialup alienation (aka a lack of update patches, heheh) has cast me from their fold, regrettably. Once I get DSL I'll be back there, you can bet.

NS:Source really excites me- even as a more or less direct port, the Source engine just looks better and supports all manner of decent features. Although the sooner they find a way of creating multi-layered NS maps, the better :D

NS to me is one of the best mods i've played so far. I love the teamplay, the way it is just set up compared to CS and DoD. Now the question is do i have the patience to wait that long for it lol

Never played NS before. Due to it not working on my computer.

Be looking forward to the source version thou from what ive seen and heard.
