Navy Seals question

i think i would want to be a Army Ranger, and the training is slightly easier isnt it?

Yea, I've thought of being a sniper or seal a few times, but I couldn't handle the torture if I was caught, screw torture man.

Thats what im aiming for.

Easier? Don't think so at all. Different focuses on training, yes. To be a ranger, you have to be infantry, which means you get 14 weeks of training at Fort Benning, which is recognized as the toughest boot the Army has. Then you need to be airborne qualified, which means 3 more weeks of training at benning. Ranger training is 44 weeks long, and divided into 3 phases. The first phase is the benning phase, then the mountain phase in colorado, then the swamp/jungle phase in Florida. You learn to fight and function in all environments including urban areas, and combat swimming is also a part of training. Most people never make it past phase 1, and it only gets harder from there. So yeah, it does sound pretty easy. Oh yeah then there's that bit where the rangers are the only outfit in the army (or is it the military) that trains 48 weeks out of the year, and that's only because you get the mandatory 30 days of vacation.
