NBA rejects EA's bid for exclusivity, plus more dealings behind the scenes in the sports game arena.

There is also a theory as to why EA bought ubi soft.

In other EA news, they were able to purchase 20% of Ubisoft on Monday. What does that have to do with sports games, you might ask. Well, Ubisoft is developing the And1 street hoops game to compete with NBA Street V3. Whether or not this puts an end to the game's development, we'll have to wait and see.

And just so this thread doesnt get locked, please refrain from the I hate EA stuff because im sure most everyone knows that already.

I just wanted to know what you guys think EA is going to do next after being turned down by the NBA.

What else do you want us to say man? They are very evil people.

EA sports games suck. As a hockey fan, I gotta say since 2002 they made crap, crap and crap!

Lets see...2 down..football and basketball, lets see what happens with the NHL and MLB.

Well, considering NHL 2005 is basically the only hockey to see, I will take NHL 2005 anyday. Personally, I liked 2003, but 2004 bombed. :\
I still watch the "classic" games on MSG, HDNet, FSN, and such. :D

I never played the real hockey games I liked NHL hitz howevor. I will probably give the real ones a try some day.

I really hate to get this thread even more offtopic but im still really upset that EA may now be the largest shareholder for ubi soft. Just look at some of the talent and the quality that goes into Ubi's games. The picture below is a peice of work from prince of persia. It is made from someone working at ubisoft. The quality is just amazing. Just for that cinematic I am going to rent the game.

this is one small step in the battle against EA!!!

*hides recently bought EA games*

what!??

I am still boycotting EA, not that i'd be buying any of their games anytime soon anyway... the only decent game they've bought out this year is NFSU:2.

Im glad they are getting refused exclusivity... the NBA official logo should go to the best game, not the company with the most money.
