Neat Rotating HL2 Logo In Flash

I made this with flash among other things in case anyone wants it. If you save the page you can use it as a backround or whatever.

I think ill just do one like the E3 videos with a better model and make that with a higher FPS and a .gif version to address all the concerns here.

Here is the final version of these logos, I am a bit tired of them now. This is alot more like the E3 movie ones with a higher frame rates and there is a Gif version. If you want the Gif one scaled up or down you will have to do it yourself im afraid. Anyways I think this one looks coolest.

This is possible with the flash file and an html document

Tell me resolution are you running at and I'll do it for you...

Actually, I don't need to know the resolution. Height=100% and width=100% should work on all.

Try these:

http://www.gamekit.org/hl.zip - First one (with the grey background)

You may want to set your desktop color to RGB: 192 192 192 (should be one of the default 'basic colors' - at least it is on XP), so that your desktop icons text thingehs match the grey background. You'll know what I mean if you try it out.

For some reason the icons text backgrounds automatically match the black background on this. I can't figure out why to fix the first one. If anyone knows, please tell me.

To get these on your desktop just unzip both files to the SAME folder and then when browsing for your desktop, select 'Files of type' to be 'HTML Documents', and then open 'wallpaper.html'

I have only tried this out on my comp on XP at 1024x768, so if it doesn't work on your computer, then I'm sorry.

EDIT: I have just realised that I hadn't commented on these yet! LOL! They are fantastic and I currently have logosmooth as my desktop! Good job!

i don't mean to hark (you did a great job with the logos), but i think when people said higher frame rates i think they meant

-> make the angle of revolution smaller
-> make it spin faster

currently, the angle it turns every frame is like 30 degrees, maybe you could take it down to five-but! at the same time, increase the frame rate sixfold so that it still spins at the same speed

To be honest I just didn't feel like waiting for like 120 frames to render,all 2 minutes of it, so I made them with a lower frame rate because it didnt bother me much. Since I dont want people to have to hark though heres a much smoother one.
