Guys this is a code red of fabulousness. My mouse, which is a 5 button Explorer 4.0 Microsoft mouse (with scroll wheel, laser and a cable) is pissing me off. It's ****ing left click only works every 4 or so clicks, its the most annoying thing ever.

So i need a new 5 button mouse, laser but with a cable would be prefered tbh. Razorback gaming mouse was the dogs bollocks last year, anything better these days? Opinions and thoughts?

I have a razer copperhead. Awesome mouse and comes in some nice colours. Buttons are big and easy to press. It has 7 buttons and a scroll wheel and can work in 400, 800, 1600 and 2000 DPI.

Could be a bit pricey though, around £45 i think for new.

Sounds quality though, i'll have a look into this one. £30 is most i'd spend on a mouse really, but i'll take into account features and stuff. Razor have different styles out then?

Sucks that Logitech's G5 laser mouse cuts down on the no. of buttons. That's why I still have my MX 510.

Logitech 518 would be my pick. Logitech mice generally are very comfortable to use too.

my mouse :)

I have a Logitech MX1000 and I'm totally in love with it. So many buttons and very precise. I would recommend it to you, but since you're looking for a corded mouse, either the G5(has less buttons though :() or the MX518 should do you well.

The MX series by Logitech. Fits your hand wonderfully.

Why you would spend more than $5 for a mouse confounds me, compounds and desounds me.

lol for $5 or less you can only get a basic mouse with no scroll wheel.

**** no, I have to write a country song, a historical fiction, and a freewrite for creative writing. And I don't feel much like that, right now.

QFT. MX1000 simply rules.

How old is your Explorer?

I hope mine never breaks D:

*lovesit<3*

Probably about a year and a bit old, I find it to be a really good mouse. Does everything i need, i would buy another one, but if this happens again i'll go mental, its really infuriating.

Cheers lads, i'll go read up about all these models now. 518 i'll look at this second, although Kami i am a fan of the ol blue led look. :D

EDIT:

Well i've looked all through the MX518 stuff and i'm going to order it soon, but i want to buy an external Hard drive as well (about 80 -100 gbs), but there seems to be some variation on external HDs. I standard USB one would do me, am i looking for anything else that makes one HD better from the next (except for size of disc :) )

get one with firewire
They look alot better (i guess much faster), but i don't have a firewire card. Could stick one in on my last PCI slot, depends how much one is.

I'm looking at the G7 as well, heard their great. I got the old Razor diamond back GREAT mouse, but for me it not very ergonomic it hurts to use after awhile. Love the hell out of that mouse but it hurts! :(
