Need Help Desperately

I'm sorry for annoying you guys with this thread, but I'm out of sources to solve this glitch that's really getting in my nerves!
Ok, I just got HL2: Episode One and my game simply doesn't show some objects in the cenario, they are invisible. For example, right after Gordon and Alyx step out of the car and they need to cross a small bridge to get to the other section, this same bridge is invisible! It's there, but you just lokk through it! It doesn't seem it's there! Other part with the same problem is when the couple is going down on a glass elevator. In that part, I'm supposed to change the course of the debris that's falling down in the elevator's direction, but I can't see the debris. That's a really annoying glitch, and I have no other ideas left to solve it.

What are your system specs? It could be an issue with your graphics card, so make sure you have the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website.

Before doing that though, right click your game in Steam and go to properties, then verify your Steam cache files. If there is any texture corruption or anything like that, then this should sort it.

Which "invisible" bridge are you on about? The one where the combine get thrown off?
