Alright so i'm trying to flash my Bios, the only problem is i can't figure out how to do it. First i tried using command prompt whilst booting from my Vista installation disk but that failed. So i then tried using a bootable MS-Dos 6.22 disk but it fails to find my disk even though i made a small 1 gig partition formatted in FAT32. Can anyone please tell me the best way to flash a BIOS as i really need to update it.

Your motherboard should have some shortcut/bios option to flash the BIOS, DOS isn't the way AFAIK

Can't be much help, personally, only to say that depending on the manufacturer you might be able to download a batch file from their site which you can run from a floppy/directory via a DOS prompt. That's how I remember flashing mine (a Clevo laptop mobo, so not necessarily a typical situation...).

PimPin, unless you're having a problem, I would leave BIOS alone.
But if you must: DL Active ISO burner here, and install it. (Assuming you already DL and saved BIOS, if not, do so) Get a blank CD and create boot-able CD using Active ISO. Reboot system and select to boot from CD in the BIOS.

NOTE: As usual, save your porn before flashing BIOS (Just in case)

Good Luck.

Thanks guy's i finally got it to update. I used a Windows 98 boot disk instead and it found the partition i had it on and it flashed the BIOS no problems. I didn't want to update but unfortunately my Motherboard would not accept more than 3 gig of RAM without the update and since i'm planning to install Win 7 x64 i wanted to upgrade my RAM.
