It was for the PC...I remember you picked what ship you wanted *one of them was a smiley face..* and you started out at your home world. You took your ship to other planets in teh system *the entire map was compried of squares...so the minimap would determine what sector your in easier...anyway, when you got to an empty planet, you would push your shovel button, and take up the minerals of the planets...and take it back to a populated planet with little to no resources, and sell it to them. You could buy more storage for resources, energy, better weapons *one which is neat, you shoot it at the enemy planet, and it kills everybody..* The enemy obviously has their own ship to run around with. They were really easy to kill if you had alot of these big black bomb missle thingies that when they exploded, the screen started to shake.

nah, none of those, it was REALLY old...2d, horrid graphix. Early 90's?

I think I know what game your on about, I think there is an unofficial remake or inspired game based on it

Sounds like Quake 4 to me.
Or maybe Solitaire : Extreme 3D Edition.

One was a smiley face? So it was ASCII. Could be made using the game engine ZZT or MegaZeus. I know that doesn't help much. Was it Free or Pay?

Enough with the damn WoW posts, seriously.

It had a free demo version which I had, but you could buy the full version. It wasn't ASCII..it was a drawn happy face...much like :).

ok seriously, it's not freaking pong, wow, donkey kong.

Although I remembered something. You could use a Neutron Bomb. The style of gameplay was pretty easy as well, you'd left click, lazers...right click were your missles/bombs.

I'm visualizing a smiley face going around shooting lasers at colored blocks floating in a black void...

Pacman?

Fragile Alliance?

Is Pacman in space, shooting lazers, conquering planets? No.

I guess it wasn't a big game, and nobody has heard of it :( Dang...I used to have it on my HDD hidden somewhere, then the drive died :(
