I just bought a game caled "Shadow Company: Left for Dead" and when I try to start it I get this message telling me: "No usabel 3D devices Instaled. Exiting.".

System Requirements for the game: Win 95/98/XP, 100% Soundblaster compitable sound card, PII-266, 4 MB 3d accelerator card which is DirectX 6 compitable, 32 MB RAM

My computer has Win XP, 2.8 GHz, 1 GB RAM, a Radeon 9800 PRO 128 mb.

The only thing I can think of is that my grafic card is to new. Please help me...

(I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum, if so maby some one can move the thread)

the game is way to old to play on ur rig i was trying to play motocross madness on my rig and it wouldnt run after i went from intigrated to 5700le

a) try the windows xp compatability thingy
b) search for a patch and/or forum posts like yours :)

if it says winxp then it must work. first ensure your drivers are correctly installed. if that dont help, i hate to say. . .
uninstall directX and install dx6 , probs comes on the game CD. u can always go back to dx9.0c anytime

But I realy apriciate your effort, Thanks. :)

i tried to play 'Powerslide' with xp and a 6800gt and no luck too. It sux that newer programs aren't allways backwards compatible.
