Need help with Hammer!!!

Whenever I open it this fatal error comes up:

I tried to ignore it and set up my configuration, and when I press ok Hammer gets closed.

Please help me! What do I do?

open up the command prompt and type
set VPROJECT="(hammerdirectory)"
without the quotes then close it and try starting hammer
this will alow you to use all the other tools as well.

i get that very same error but when i try and fix it and then go to configure hammer the hammer.exe crashes on me.

when i next restart hammer the same error returns...

Open the file GameCfg.ini located in the same directory as hammer.exe and fill in the ModDir and GameExeDir lines.
Read more on this page for information on what to add to these fields.

Or if you don't want to play around in the .ini file just delete it and start up hammer. You will now be able to to the configuring part again.
