right my problem is connecting to the internet
that might sound stupid but when i bring my laptop into a net cafe you have to connect to the existing server that the cafe uses
now to do this i use my university server proxy which is highly unreliable except in university plus it prevents me accessing servers
i've found a few public proxies to use but they are slow and unreliable
now i would have hoped that XP would run a wizard or autodetect a network connection but it does neither
so help connecting to the net through a lan?
is there an easy way or does anyone want to give me the proxy address they use ?
