I don't feel like explaining all the details but I just a trojan through a link I followed but I got rid of it. All I need to know is how to get this person back? I have their AIM name, I was thinking of just sending them a link to a site that would mess their comp up since I don't know any programming, any have any suggestions?

*******...
Actually
If you can get their IP then you can forward it on to their Service Provider and have them deal with 'em. ;)

Haha, I know what their ISP is but not their IP. Hell they have a link to site that downloads a virus onto your comp when you click it in their AIM profile.

Maybe you can notify their ISP of the AIM name and profile. ;)

Hold up, if the link goes to a site and downloads it, its not there fault, they clicked someones link previously. Don't go overboard and go after there isp, some people aren't all computer literate. Just tell them they have a trojan on there pc and need to get rid of it. Your fault for clicking it, don't attack someone if you yourself clicked the link.

But he used my friends name to give it to me, he was showing a bunch of pics of doom 3 and parts of his new computer then he snuck that in there. So now he is the victim because I clicky a link that I thought was somthing else?

Why don't you just cut his power cables or unplug the cd player from the psu. Something stupid

Good idea, I will find where he lives....and....do that...and hit him with a bat a few times!

Even in AIM profile's it says 'DO NOT CLICK LINKS AS THEY MAY CONTAIN VIRUSES'. Is that not a good enough warning for you?

It could be a AIM Virus though. There are viruses that are designed to send IMs to you to go to some link. Was the link identical to all the others? Like he just sent you several links to pictures?
Like this,
Person: (HTML Link)
Person: (HTML Link)
Person: (HTLM Link to trojan)
Person: (HTML Link)
Or was it
Person: (HTML Link)
Person: (HTML Link)
Person: Hey check this out!(HTML Link to trojan)

If it was the second one then he has a AIM related virus. What was the trojan actually?

I didn't click it in the profile, my friend sent me a link that looked just like the last 3 he sent me www.planetdoom.com/doom3pic.jpg or whatever it was and then when I clicked on it it brought me to some site and all this ****ed up shit happened and I alt f4ed out of it but i stil got the trojan. Only problem is I have a router and the trojan can't do anything. It was the 1st one, he didn't know either but I think he might have been screwing with me.
