When i search for something in google or start to type in my login for something a little box drops down with recently typed in things.....how can i disable that?
You know how it stores web sites on the Address bar? Like stuff you've typed in.
Well I know you can clear that. But there are some web sites that dont clear....and they come up when I start to type in addresses.
Like halflife2.net. Its always on there. So when I start typing something that starts with H....that comes up first. And it just bugs me that it does that even though I turned off the history thing.
So is there anything I can do to clear out these unclearable addresses?
lol there are some Firefox fanboys here But it is true that internet explorer is not the best browser around, it is not secure. That is the main reason why I moved to linux (damn popups and WebSites that installs things in your computer arghh) anyway, there is always a way to delete those unwanted things by going in the registry. Look in HKCU/Softwares/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/Main and change the unwanted URLs in the right of the screen. You can also delete all the keys in HKCU/Softwares/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/TypedURLs (but dont delete the folder!!)
Be carefull when you go in the registry, you have to know what you are doing.
