Nerf spies, PLEASE

How can Spies be in your sights if they're invisible?

:p

Some sniper actually killed me when I was in stealth (no way he saw me cloaking,it was in my base)..so yeah

If i'm sniper, pray that you're not in my sights.

That reminds me. On 2fort, while spy, I'll always see my team running out of their base without the flag, so I'll peg them in the head on the way down, and there falls a spy. Makes me laugh all the time.

Man I had such a bad game today, 21 headshots, 27 kills in one life. End of round I was 49/2.

I'm always annoyed when spies get away with ridiculous shit like running with the team while disguised as the enemy, while I keep getting randomly shot after taking the greatest care not to be spotted.

Also, some people seem to be able see through the cloak inexplicably (no contact, no glow, not been anywhere near an enemy before cloaking).

Havn't played on PC version yet, but I assume people behave pretty similar. Someone said earlier how he is sick of seeing spies running with enemies and not being shot, and yet getting spychecked himself...I know the feeling, i've been the spy in that situation more than once.

If I see a group of the enemy stood around, I switch to heavy/soldier and stand with them, 9 times out of 10 they are planning a charge, especially if medics are present. Heavy - slower - falls behind - backstabs. Works easy for 5-6 backstabs, then cloak back into their base, and change disguise then carry on. Its a sure-fire way to gain kills/points, and works alot.

Now they sound over-powered, but every story has two sides. I've tried this, and like I said - "9 out of 10 times". On a 1 out of that 10, it fails. I've ran into a group as a soldier, been looked at and ignored, they start running and I start running a little late to get behind, they turn around and blast. Just be smart, look at names, and the behaviour of said player, you get gut feelings of spies more often than not.

While on topic of spies - Best time ever, stabbed an engy, got around corner disguised as engy, and sat behind his turret. Half his team must have ran past and didn't even spy check, and over half of them got followed out the door and stabbed. Then I went and sat down again. Logic failed me there though, the real engy (I presume, he knew I was a spy) wacked me on the head with no warning or anything. ;(

Valve eneds to leave the classes as they are; this doesn't need to become another WoW, where every class is buffed/nerfed to hell and back to create "the perfect balance" IF you hate spies so much, learn how to play one! IT doesn't take 3 years to "level it up and get 10000 pieces of epic armor" . . . it only takes a couple seconds to switch when you die.

If it becomes like WoW then nothing will ever stay the same. Its stupid. There is no class that cannot be used very effectively in a certain situation. They might need to tweak some stuff a little bit but i really don't think much is necessary.

Spies are fine the way they are. I've killed so many with the Snipers knife before. :D It's annoying to be stabbed but most of the time you can tell whose a Spy by the way they act. It is hard to spot them amongst lots of action though.

When i play pyro (second choice after spy) i just run around and shoot bursts of flame at everyone i see, and randomly as well. No spy is safe!

One thing I've started to get better at is killing those guys you meet on the way to your destination in their base. Before you can blend your behavior. If I see someone idle defending in a hallway or room, I try to not be seen and come around at the right time when I can kill them ASAP. No awkward moments staring at them. Wait for the enemy reinforcement wave to pass or go in asap, just so there is no mess. Otherwise it can get hairy fast.

Yes, honestly, Pyros are like the ultimate spy-killers. Flame everything that moves and occasionally, thin air.
