Anyone heard the new Amon Amarth album, With Oden On Our Side?

I love this album, im so glad the band kept their style, the vocals are great and its a lot more melodic.

its like the guitarists sat down and said lets write the sickest riffs ever and just play them 100 times lol

So let me get this right - they've veered away from Fate of Norns, and back to the good old days?

While we're on the topic of new releases, anyone heard Impressions in Blood yet? If not, do so now. Right now. I cannot begin to describe how fantastic a job Vader have done.

Yeah, With Oden on Our Side is a bit closer to the earlier stuff, but still has a lot of the elements that made Fate of Norns cool in its own way.

Hmm, that sounds a bit better. I really disliked Fate.

But seriously, Mastodon over Vader? That's a crime. Looking on Amazon, it seems it's out in America. If you listened to their EP Art of War, it's basically a full album in that refined style (thrashier, faster), with added orchestral symphony.
