I mean if you've got the money, go for it, it's a future computing investment.

If you havn't got the money then it's wise to wait, i didn't mean you're stupid because you can't afford a top of the range graphics card.

It's like people who spend $500 on a new designer shirt, or $100,000 on a super car, they think it's worth it, and for 6 months or whatever they can feel like they are part of the elite. I think thats a feeling worth paying for.

If you buy a card a year after it's been out you won't feel so special.

.....100,000 dollar super cars usually take 5 years or never become "un elite"... not 6 months.

While this logic seems stupid to you, it isn't flawed. Yours is. Saying that you should get the newest shit as soon as it comes out is basically buying into the hype and not being a smart consumer.
