how does the bit torrent thing work?

Oh its easy. Basically there are two people on the bittorent network for any given file. Seeders and Peers (or Downloaders if you will)

Seeders are the ones that have the file completed, so they focus all their bandwith on uploading it to people. As soon as you finish downloading a file, you instantly become a seed until you turn off Bittorrent (not recommended though... You are considered a leech if once you finish downloading you just turn off bittorrent and decide not to help seed)

Peers are people who are downloading the movie. They download parts from anyone as long as they don't have them. They also upload any parts they have to any other Peers who don't have them.

The advantages of BT are that instead of everyone going to run server and the server having to give off huge files to everyone singularly (and thus have to work alone and the speeds would soon be crushed) but rather with BT pretty much everyone is a server sharing the file, so thus the more people there are downloading a file, the better your speeds will be.

It's fairly simple, but I suck at explaining so.....

Wow that video was awesome! The animations on the models really do look real. Infact the models look real! The game looks like its comming along very nicely.

Oh my God. This game is going to be the best. I think this will bring HL2 down. It's just so open and... good. My only concern is the system requirements. They say you will require 1GB of RAM, 128MB video card, and a 1.8 GHz processor. I don't know about you, but I just barely meet those requirements. In fact, I don't have 1GB of RAM.

I was always more of a gunny in the backseat with the heavy machine gun . I just hope drivers lose points for driving off the edge of the cliff, especially when i am in the backseat trying to shoot down a bloody Zero.

That looks like such a cool game. I love the look of the vehicles in particular. Its almost like they glow, but its not over the top like guildwars. It just looks....right. I'm reall looking forward to a mod thats coming out for it. It focuses on British involvement in the wars, something that as they quite rightly say, has been largely ignored. Finally I'l be able to run around as a good ole British squadie, or drive the lovely Challenger 2

I like all the little additions they put in too. Bags and gear on soldiers swaying when soldiers run. Gear strapped to the side of tanks. The defibrilators Makes me think of RTCW I always got huge scores as a medic healing and reviving people and I plan to do the same with BF2 (I like how it's a radius effect for healing/repairing now).

I wish they would've shown the commander interface in action. I'd like to see what it looks like when they drop in supply crates, artillery, etc.

The best thing graphically in the game to me are the airplanes... I mean SHIT did you guys see the plane battle over the water?????????? Can you say "Impressive to the max!"

Someone should make some plane models like that and then use HL2 water for maximum pwnage

And yes it does have a glow to it, it seems... Maybe just reflected lighting though (??? I'm not sure how advanced the lighting engine is if it calculates bounced lighting in real-time)

i thought the water looked pretty damn good, even though it's all murky, still, it's a helluva improvement over BF1942 and BF:V
