Looks great! Cant wait.

I dont know much info about this game, is there any indication as to when it will be finished, or how far a long it is?

I heard around Q1 2005

I have a feeling this game will take a monster system to run.

OMG looks cool

too bad mt PC will not run it :(

Anyone else notice how the butt of the Bizon in pic #10 clips into the terrorist dude's model

the chopper screenshot is definately not as detailed as it could be, but the rest look beautiful

it also has some destructable terrains! Like that bridge, it can brake :D

Battlefield 1942 was fun, game didnt feel smooth though (not FPS or Latency wise)
It just felt buggy, like the first days of the Cafe beta CS:S

It looks a bit like the first BF, graphic wise it's a bit... thin. Still looks great though, I'd hit it.

Heh, coolies. Might get my faith back on EA after BF: V and the new MOH.

WOOOOOW........those screenys look UNimpressive!

they really dont look that great!
maybe they lowered detail? :|

low res textures + high poly models ;x
but doesnt look too bad.

How the hell are they making this game with these graphics with 100+ people on a server with a couple of miles of terrain? What the hell am I gonna have to have to run this?

There's a magic thing called LOD - Level Of Detail which increases as you get closer to objects, players, static meshes, etc...

My guess is that if you want to play BF2 with full settings and possibly AA&AF you'll want a "high-end" PC: P4 2.8 or AMD64 +3000 with at least 512MB of ram and a DX9 card.

See? Its crazy stuff like that that makes me love Battlefield. :D
Now if someone was sitting there...

they probably took the screenshot with battlefield tv cause its like a tivo, you can rewind, pause and stuff :) but even with that, it would be hard to do lol

well its a cool shot but the gfx are a bit dissapointing,
even battlefield:vietnam looks better then that o_0

Danger: insanity may cause blindness.

I don't know. I would like to see how they address lag. 100 player server with medium lag probably won't even happen. I'm not buying BF2 for sure.

Who cares if the game looks good? I doubt they will address any of the fundamental issues that BF series has. I'm sure this one will run perfectly on low end systems as well.

What "fundamental issues"? I'd understand that if there was some endemic problem that had spanned multiple games, engines, and incarnations, but all we have so far is the original game and one update done by the Canadian team. Writing off such a promising series is foolhardy.

The fundamental issue blahblah's talking about it lag and you can't deny it, BF 1.6 and Vietnam still have lag issues (Disclaimer: I have not yet tried the 1.2 patch). But that never stopped me from buying 'em, I can put up with the lag because the best online games I've had were in the battlefield series :D
