Most dirtbikes are 1 CC lower than the name. So it's more than likely a 249cc.

2-Stroke or 4-Stroke?

250's are like a border line 250 and up 4-Stroke
250 down 2-Stroke

But not always down from 250's there are 2-Strokes I have 200 4-Stroke and two 125's 4-Strokes
