Just bought a new high-end computer.

OK, assembled it and all that.. formated etc.. (posting from new comp)

But when I install the drivers for my video card (x850xt pe) and when I re-boot,
the comp just freezes for a couple of secs at desktop and then re-boots.. and re-boots... and re-boots... and just keeps doing it.

What tha matter? Not enough power or something? I got 400w!
The problem goes away when I start XP in safe mode and un-install the drivers.

PLZ SEND HELP!

I think not enough power. I hear those x850's are guzzlers (not to mention you got the xt. PE also) , and need psu's in the 500's to addequetly provide for them.

bump.

It works fine when I install the driver via the windows thingy where you dont need to restart your comp. I even got to install join operations and play it for a bit.'

It just happens after I restart my comp.

i have a similar problem, i could only solve it by turning the graphic's hardware acceleration off.
