It'll be here tomorrow (6/28), and I'm so excited. It'll really be a step up from my sd700. I'll try and post some pictures, hopefully it'll be good weather.

Dpreview gave it some rave reviews. May I ask how much you paid for yours and where you got it from? I have been in the market for a DSLR for my father for some time but haven't found the perfect one yet. The cheapest deal I have found just browsing is around $645 shipped from ebay with the lens kit.

I like it so far, I'm still learning how to play with the shutter and aperture so my pictures aren't good yet. Here's a couple from just walking around...

The lighting on the GT is delicious but I hate the way the curves of the car meet the fence.
