New death match update!!!

Updates to Half-Life 2: Deathmatch have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch

* Score in teamplay mode no longer wraps back to zero 0 when it goes past 127
* Fixed bug in player bounding boxes while crouching
* Added cvar "cl_autowepswitch" to allow automatic weapon switching to be turned off
* Flashlight no longer turns off when auxiliary power is drained
* Auxiliary power now resets when a player respawns after drowning
* Fixed explosive barrels to allow burning after respawn
 
Wow. Bout ****ing time.

A lot of peopele are gonna be pissed with the hit-box glitch fix, though.

Edit Edit: Does this mean that horrible underwater noise no longer persists after underwater death?

Wonder how the crouchers both jumping and actually crouching stick to their tactics now ;)
 
Arg... and I had habituated myself to aim at crouching people's legs... :p
 
How to turn off auto-weaponswitch?

I have this: cl_autowepswitch

But WTF do I do with it?

Finally! It was so stupid to see bullets fly right through someones head..
 
Here's how to change your local settings so that you do not automatically switch weapons when you pick one up:

1. While in-game, his escape.
2. In the console, type the following: cl_autowepswitch = 0
3. Hit Enter. Close the window.

Done. However, you'll find it hard to get used to! I still find myself switching weapons after I grab a new one, even though I don't have to. :D
