I am sure Im not the only one whoare ready to puke if I see more of those antilions. What do we have left then? We have zombies. maybe a few but not alot in ep3 I believe. what we will se is the new arctic headcrap!! which of course is white.

So I hope we will see arctic animals with headcraps on them. like a polar bear with it on the head. maybe a seal or two. snow cat and so on.

what do you think/hope? which new enimies or allies would you like to see in this new upcoming episode?

I don't think now is so much the time for new Xenian wildlife in the Arctic. I think there's a sense that we're going to be coming up against something completely new in terms of, say, what Aperture Science has up there, and I definitely feel we've seen the last of the Antlions. I mean, it's been a gradual build up since Hl2, right? They've climaxed with the Hive. I don't think you can take Antlion gameplay any further without seriously fatiguing the player of their presence.

I think on the whole we're going to see a fair few new enemies. The Sector 17 Overwatch is all but completely wiped out, and although I think we'll definitely see more Soldiers and Striders it's likely there's a whole world of new Synth beasts out there. I'd argue against new Xenian stuff because it's the climax of the Episode arc, and those things don't seem entirely relevant.

You'll meet friendly portal turrets that you can dynamicly chat with.

O lawd.

PPPlllleeeeaaaaasseee Valve.. Oh god i want to fight these.

Yes, maybe the portal storms suddendly teleported them into the northern hemisphere... Funky, those portals.

Seriously, enough with the penguins already.

Penguins! Carnivorous, man-eating, murderous, rampant penguins! :D

Rather then sumthing new how about smart combine troops that make smart use of cover and grenades and maybe cover fire and flanking. I noticed Alyx using cover and blind-fire why cant combine do that. ^-^

New enemy wise, likely to see some remaining Overwatch from C17 and maybe detachments from other cities.

Combine Guard and the Female Assassin - not really new, but something that looked awesome from the beta.

I want new synths. It's unlikely we'll see xenian wildlife in the artic, so this episode will probably be composed by synths and new combine types.
crab synth please.

From the looks of things, the Combine have no real outpost in the Artic, they just found out about Mossman's whereabouts and attacked with their current elite troops (going from the "transmission"). So the hopes of seeing a new kind of "Zombine" are proably slim.

However, I think we will be up against the Combine much more in the coming episode. We are closing in on removing them from our planet altogether, so they are going to be fighting back that much more. I'm sure Valve will break up the action with some variety, but as to what... we'll have to see. For sure we will bring the smack down on one or more Advisors, more hunters I'd imagine and perhaps some new alien life form or Aperature Science Military Android.

Shall we forget what GLaDOS said?

FU*KING APERTURE SCIENCE CYBORGS, HELL YEA!

Oh yea, stick a head crab on this and you have a fast headcrab maw men. I very much intend to make it in a mod.

We're no where even close.

We may have defeated them in a small section of Eastern Europe(Albeit their base of operations) but they are spread out through the world and have control of all major population centers. I see one of two things happening. 1: We get word that the uprising has gone global and the combine are in their last throws from another character. 2: Future sequels deal with Gordon leading the offensive against the last remaining combine strongholds.

My Zenquins could totally kick your cyborg maw men's ass :-|

You miss understood. I stated cyborgs from glados, THEN a picture from a book as a good fast headcrab maw men model.

Separate things, not the same.

Oh yea, Zenquins? WTF?

cremators
invisible dudes like kupo was talking about
something very large and imposing (ie tentacle imposing, not 'omg strider!!! well time to shoot it to death' imposing)
aperture science robotssssssssss

Hydra type glowing creatures swimming under the ice. :rolling:

Again, i agree with Samon. It does seem a good time to introduce synths that we've seen before, but not had the chance to fight. Some new, as of yet unseen synths would be nice as well. I also think more combine should be present, as they will probably be heading towards the Borealis as well. I would previously have said that xenian wildlife would have been nice but now i don't think its such a good idea.

It would be nice to see (and or fight) cremators, hydra, and female assassins in EP3. I doubt that we will however.

Fast zomBINE or Poison zombine
Or something that will break out of the Aperture Science containers !

The original poster was funny.

Yes- some more enemies would be nice. Obviously overwatch and hunters are there by the Mossman video. Hopefully some truly new enemies, not tweaked (Oooooh these Hunters are moar dangerous than EP2 becase they are wearing rollerskates!)

I love the former, but don't really see its place in a non-urban setting (Assuming we're talking about the Trench-Coat Combine Guard from RtB, rather than the ugly human cyborg thing).

There is a video on Youtube that makes what was there for the Female Assassin look utterly awesome. Whilst I'm not sure they ever fitted into the Combine hierarchy (which is basically A-Sexual and linear) anyone else think that if you remove the blood decals, make a few texture changes here and there, you may easily have some kind of Aperture Science Military Android Assassin? (hell, "ASMAA" is a cool acronym!) And GlaDOS' Angels are a-go!

I want to see new skins on the Humanoid combine Soldiers, and a new rank of Overwatch Human Soldier, something even more heavily armed and further augmented than the Combine Elite.

A new Gigantic Synth enemy.

The Hydra, just because.

Hey, you don't need to keep the model to keep the gameplay. Just change it around so they look like mobile scarecrows instead of hot chicks. Then you can have your uber-Elite and ninja in one go.

trenchcoated arctic scout soldiers
offworld troopersssss
and it was the gameplay of the guard (smashing in doors and searching for hiding enemies) that was more interesting to me than the look (though I didn't really mind the model)

But the Combine Assassin's acrobatic animations are wonderful! Would be a shame not to see them in game.

Going at the current rate of one or two per game, I think we'll see the advisors and a new arctic version of a current enemy. Though, to be fair, Valve has pulled tricks on us before, by not doing their normal style with enemies- for example, the acid antlions were only in one or two chapters! It should be interesting to see what they do for arctic wildlife.
