NEW EP2/Orange Box footage!

Awesome new footage, now finally we get to see Magnusson and I got to say he is interesting and I can't wait to see what else we will see him do later in the game, at least he got a new model rather than a new character based off an old HL1 model this just gets me more hyped for ep2.

Btw what was that beside the video that said release date September 15!!??

Well Playing EP1 on the PC with my 360 Controller isn't hard, but my controls are probably different to the Controls in the Orange Box.

He was worse to me. He allowed me to watch the second Hunter video, which really doesn't reveal much, and then decided not to let me watch the one with all the spoilers in it.
 
Man loving that vortigaunt and Alyx combo and Magnusson really just makes me lol now his personality is the best thing to happen to Half life finally someone that isn't so nice. I think ep2 is probably going to be the best chapter of the series for me, if only it was much longer than only 7 to 8 hours which means somewhere around 6 hours but it's still going to be great.

Ya his character just pushes everyone around like he is the true resistance leader lol, I wonder how he will talk to Barney as Kleiner and Eli are both pushovers but Barney wouldn't let Magnusson just cut him off like he did with Kleiner.

Alyx sounds a bit tougher and angrier in the first Hunter video. Not quite as sweet and easy-going.
 
Speaking of which, how does she know what they are? Either this takes place after we were debriefed or she had previous knowledge of them (I wonder how).

Slick was a terrible asshole to me in the first game. I've hated him ever since he told me, "I invented the gluon gun, but I can't bring myself to use it on a living creature. You look like you have no problems killing, however."

He was right, of course, but he didn't have to say it like that. Really hurt my feelings. ;( From that moment forth, I vowed to kill all Slicks. All of them. I blew that particular one to chunks with his own invention.

I knew once I heard Magnusson was going to be a condescending jerk that he'd be based off Slick. Everyone thought Einstein, but I knew who he really was. No one's more of an a-hole than Slick.

And I'll get him. Mark my words, I'll get him somehow. Some way...
 
I hope magnusson gets killed by the combine or advisor, hes a right dick, he tells Kleiner to shut up, and he won't let the 'real' scientists explain, he wants all the glory for defeating the combine.
 
the plot spoilers arnt really that bad, that being said i dont really wanna watch any more spoiler vids.

and thank god they didnt talk about portal at all. i REALLY dont want that spoiled.
 
I wasn't bothered by the spoilers. I already knew what Gordon and Alyx were carrying. It was obvious. When I was watching the videos I kept thinking, "Confirmed. Confirmed. Confirmed."
 
I stopped the video on the start, because that is ****ing lame how it spoiled so much. Like what happens on the start and such.

Wow, the total is now up to three physics puzzles spoiled by pre-release videos. You think I'd have learned by now.

And, wow, it reveals no small amount about HL mythology, as well.

Edit: Magnusson weirdly reminds me of Johnny Sacc...sans the NY accent, of course. I like him. He's, y'know, proactive.

I believe you may have just inadvertently stumbled over something incredibly significant there. There's no denying that there is something suspicious about the whole rebellion concerning Gordon, particularly Eli.

Edit: Wait... maybe it's all a continuum of the Cubbage event except he's always too far ahead of us?

Oh, and Magnusson for Grand Overlord of the Universe. (Can't really beat that rank without going into theology)
 
He really reminds me of slick. He got the assholishness down perfectly. You can hear shades of HL1 in his "follow me"!
