It's new to me.
Last time I used it was just before my router inexplicably failed.
Well, the router is up again and I have all the securities turned off so it is pretty much just out there in the open. I'm hoping to avoid complications by leaving the security off until I can figure a permanent solution.
Anyhoo, I tried to start up Steam today.
I would click it to run, and nothing would happen for a good 5-10 minutes. No splash screen, no news, no list of games, no updating, but an error pops up.
A screeshot is in the attachment.
I went into the task manager to check things out, and there is a weird something that happened. Normally I have around ~20 processes running at any given moment, but today I have 28. Some extra SVChosts and some things I've never seen before called CLI.exe. I'm hoping that is just the ATi Catalyst crap.
If you have ever encountered this error please give me some direction.
I imagine it is router related and Steam is not able to connect to the internet. I was able to browse the web with no issues so I don't understand what the deal is.
The computer Steam is installed on is a Desktop with a wireless NIC that communicates with a Linksys WRT54G, if you missed my other thread.
