Well as far as i know the 1st movie is already been out for a year in Japan.

I meant for cams and fansubs to get leaked out though. It tooka good 6 months at least for a cam to get leaked for eva 1.0 before it could get subbed.

Funimation is going to release it in the US on November 10. Damn that's a long time. Why does it take these companys forever to release this stuff? the first movie came out in 2007 and it still wont be till the end of this year that we get it on DVD? yikes. of course, if you want to see it sooner, there's always the torrent option.

Normally I would agree, but since its being made by the original creator, I'm hoping that it will be good.


But generally I hate remakes. 99% of the time they're remaking classics that honestly shouldn't be remade to begin with (Psycho, Poseidon, Godzilla, Planet of the Apes, Charley and the Chocolate Factory, etc).

The first one was a mess of confusion and acid trips. If they make the remake a little more coherent, it will be perfect.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the first one anyway.

Oh the memories. The original NGE was one of the shows I used to watch when I was young and still watched anime (although, Furi Kuri (FLCL) by the same company, is by far, the best one). We watched the whole show in an all-nighter. I had a bag full of mandari oranges.

I do believe it was originally, like most animes, a manga and then they made it into an anime. Back when I still payed attention it was twenty something episodes plus two movies. The first movie was mostly just clipshow of the actual show and the first part of the second movie, or something of that sort. I do believe they already made couple of remakes of this thing too. First one was perhaps only improved colors, picture quality DVD release. I also think they made some kind of new versions of the last episode, even longer versions of the psychological crap scenes.

It never was. Oblivious idiots behind the broadcast network probably thought this was just any ordinary cartoon/anime suitable for children.

what country do you live in? Your lucky if it aired on sat mornings because here in the US it only aired on adult swim (late night) and one run on my local PBS station (back in 2000).
