Well, after watching the last 2 trailers, I now understand how come a game coming out from nowhere can be the winner of E3.

Styloid said:Judging by nothing but the clips we've seen I still don't see what is so great about FEAR. Graphics are good but is pretty much what I expect from any game coming out in a year. The story (or premise that we know about) seems kind of plain as well as the settings, characters and art direction. The gameplay looks the same as most FPS's except with scripted events and bullet time.

Thats why I'm so excited. Its got a really cohesive atmosphere that screams of the same sort of quality that made HL so cool to play.blahblahblah said:Anybody else think FEAR reminds them of playing Half-Life?
ailevation said::O Man, this game is more stunning than I thought, they know how to freak the shit out of you!
Subz said:i hate gamespot. IT NEVER WORKS FOR ME.

A True Canadian said:The F.E.A.R. E3 videos already make it seem scarier than DOOM 3, a game that promised to be the most frighteningly engaging game to be released. My biggest fear though (stupid puns are hard to avoid!) is that the game ends up like Far Cry, where the gameplay becomes stale and repetative after a few hours.
I believe it's called subliminal advertisingA True Canadian said:The movie would play normally, except for one frame, they would splice in a picture of a hamburger or pocorn or some other kind of food. Because it only appeared for some milliseconds you begin to question whether you really saw food on the screen. That one frame has become burned into your mind. Eventually you woud get hungry from seeing food and go purchase something from the food court.
