Only one shows a pentium higher then the FX55, and that wasn't a P4 Extreme Edition.
 
Yea a freind told me the newest p4 ee was faster, I just checked it out seems your right. Intel needs to create a new core.

Also I hope people know that the xbox will not have three 3.2 ghz cpus.
 
Yeah, those consoles won't have higher than 3GHz CPU speeds. Even the G5 which is a Power PC (IBM) CPU uses some form of water cooling on their 2.5GHz models.

The new consoles (and new PCs) are going more towards parallelism and less toward GHz because of heat. Although check out the Power Consumption of AMD's desktop dual core chip. Takes less power to run that sucker at full load even over Intel's single core chip at Idle. ouch

A lot of stuff you hear about Sony's new Cell design are not what it will be right when it is first used with the PS3 but rather what they are aiming for with future implementations of Cell. Keep that in mind.
