No no no, the best place to view any trailer without starting an account or downloading any lame downloading software is www.gametrailers.com. I believe the Halo 2 trailer is right there on the front page.

I tried really hard to like Halo when it first came out because of all my anticipation. I also had to justify spending $500 on a stupid XBox.

Truth is, it was lame.
 
Halo 1 was good in the beginning, but it got boring, because it was only the same aliens over and over, with small changes..
It felt like i played the same level all the time. No fun for me.
Hope the sequel is better..

I've always planned on likely picking up and X-Box right before Halo 2 comes out...nice and cheap. :farmer:
Looks like something to look forward to.
 
Anyone who hasn't finished it on Legendary and doesn't want the secret ending spoiled, miss out about 2mins to 2mins 30 :)

i've never been a HL2 fanboy and i never will be. i just think you're sadly mistaken if you think Halo 2 will be better than HL2. i still know people who stupidly think Halo is better than the original HL. crazyness or what? it doesn't matter whether Halo 2 comes out before or after HL2.

i wasn't much impressed with Halo 1 anyway, it fittered off towards the end. all filler no killer. severe case of deja vu for pretty much 70% of the game.
 
I've been playing Halo since I bought it on the Xbox last x-mas.. I love it like hell , have been reading alot about the story on several pages, and Halo 2 will rock on the Xbox.

I love Halo 2 as much as HL2 , I'm a fanboy of both.

Along with Golden Eye, Perfect Dark and Half Life I think Halo is one of the best shooters ever made (but only on the XBox and on the hard difficulty settings ........ on the pc it was average at best)

Can't wait for the sequal :D

Just because someone's opinion differs from yours, does not mean it's stupid. Think before you post such "stupid" comments.
As to whether or not Halo 1 was better, I have to disagree...in certain aspects.
Halo was more or less Point A - Point B, Half-Life was Point A - Point B, then to Point A again, meet Scientist who has access to Point C, then return to Point A and receive directions on where Point D is.

I think both games were great, and had an effect on future titles.
The Secondary melee attacks in games now were obviously inspired by Halo...and KillZone has almost completely copied Halo's base mechanics - Over Shield, Melee attack, etc.

I also enjoyed Halo's realism about the combat...Fighting Over-The-Top bosses is rediculous, even in the original Half-Life. I enjoyed feeling like I was actually fighting a Military, that didn't consist of Nazis, or stupid alien monsters. :dozey:

they are stupid to think Halo is better than HL. seriously. they think the enemy AI is BETTER than HLs. seriously. can you call these people sane in the head?? Halo was just run and gun, nothing much else to it. anyway, i'm not gonna get into another argument about why HL is better than Halo or vice versa.

i respect your opinion (as well as anyone elses) on why you like Halo, but just don't expect me to send you a christmas card this year. personally i didn't think Halo was at all realistic, in terms of military combat and any other aspects. it had comic book realism plastered all over it.

well back on topic, you haven't said what you think of Halo 2.

I finished it allright!
But never on singleplayer. Got too boring for that. Did it on coop, and you will probably say that that doesn't count, but who cares? I finished it.. :p

Installed it on my comp too, but it was too boring. HL1 was great, this was boring.. simple as that. (for me atleast)
 
Halo for the Xbox is one of the best first person shooters ever made (IMO) My only real complaint about Halo was that it was extremely short and left you drooling for more. Everything about Halo is nothing short from amazing, and is Xbox's only good game. I believe Halo 2 will once again rule the First Person Shooter market. Half-Life 2 is dead. Valve stopped informing their fans on whats going on behind the scenes. I use to think Half-Life 2 was going to beat Halo 2, but no it's not. Halo Single player is much better for Xbox because the PC version has some nasty bugs. The PC version has better Multi Player then the Xbox version. In the end the Xbox version wins. Atlease until they release a few more patches to address the huge problems in the PC version. Halo will ALWAYS Rule!!! :cheers:

I got Halo for the PC. MUCH fun was had. though I must admit, the

flood

got VERY annoying after awhile. still, GREAT story, and one of the better FPS I've played. if short. IMHO

I was happy when it got up to 100 kb/s then it went all the way up to that, i was like Keanu Reeves for a second: "whoa"

If you finished it how can you say the whole game was jsut fighting the same aliens in the same battles.... it changes quite dramaticly...

I think we have a winner. I bought Halo for PC and played al the way through, but I never really had one of those moments that inspired me or made me think "this game rocks." I wasn't extremely impressed - it's a well made game, but I don't think it's far enough different from a lot of other stuff out there to get all the praise and hype it gets. The one major complaint I have about the game is the horrible level design. How many times can you cut and paste the same hallways together and expect the player to be surprised or the least bit interested in what's around the next corner - it made it a chorejust to get through some of the levels. Halo didn't have enough enemy variations either, but this is just my two cents.
 
All of you people that hate Halo or dislike it probably only plaed the PC version...or never played it online or multiplayer with the xbox. I've been playing Halo since it came out...multiplayer only now..but I still have a blast with it.

The Xbox version is much better than the PC version IMO because multiplayer just isn't the same when you aren't sitting in the same room as your teammates or with your opponents. Being able to yell at the opponents in the next room is one of my favorite things about multiplayer Halo.

With your teammates sitting next to you, you can come up with awesome plans to piss off, waste, or just confuse your enemy.

Multiplayer PC Halo wasn't nearly as cool. The banshee is rediculusly unbalanced and the new weapons are the same. People kill you for your vehicles or weapons...it's no good.

Halo Xbox Multiplayer has given me SO many fun memories. I admit, the singleplayer isn't all that great. There isn't much that wow's me singleplayer-wise anymore. When I first played it, I was all about the gfx and the vehicles, now I just like to mess around in SP and MP.

Right now...I'm much more excited for Halo 2 than HL2.

Those of you saying HL2 will be a better game than Halo 2 are stating your opinions...remember that.. You make it sound like you are right and everyone else is wrong if they don't agree with you...

That's true... I haven't... I'm sure it probably is relatively good as a console game (as Deus Ex 2 probably is as well)... but I really, really hated the PC version... it just felt and played like... shit... add the fact that I could BARELY even play multiplayer and... yeah...

I still fail to see why it's so above everything else, though... seems pretty standard to me...
