Is this new footage or just higher res versions of older videos?
 
Both of those videos are the same thing except the first link is to a shorter version.

It's new footage. Was shown running on Nvidia's new DX10 card. He said that what they were showing was a multiplayer map.
 
Excellent looking, of course. But I think it's too shiny outside, doesn't really look movie-realistic because of that. It seems to me that, with the advent of bloom and HDR, many implementations overdo it somewhat.

But what interests me more is that much-advertised destructibility. I'm curious to see as to how much will actually be destructible in-game. If they can really pull many destructible things off, then great.
 
There needs to be a mirror for the bigger one. It's down :(
 
Looks nice (saw a bunch of sections where it dipped below 30fps) but I still don't see the huge advantage of DX10 and I don't care about this game any more than I did before.

Still Far Cry + a super suit and custom guns.

Cept it's a totally different story too.

That its so much more efficient then DX9... Which means higher FPS

True. Replace Mercs with Korean soldiers and trigens with new race and change the circumstances a little.

Ah, didn't know that. This vid had some slowdowns though still. You could tell it dipped under 30fps during the flythrough.

Yeah, it's supposedly a performance boost. Just try to run something that demanding on your 7900gtx with 16x AA and see how smooth it runs. he he ;)

Hopefully they will have the framerates stabilized before launch.
 
Didn't he say in the video that it was at max quality settings? I'd expect some slow down even with Nvidia's new card.
 
These videos arent really new. They have been out for a bit at the incrysis site.

too bad my computer caught on fire from just watching that movie
8800GTX is definately my next card.... when the price drops of course :p

Crysis looks wonderful. I'm sure it will be an excellent tech demo.
 
Beautiful, really impressive.
One thing: They'd better have an option to turn off motion blur...
Also, did anyone else think that he was running WAY too fast? Even with the suit thing, that just looked wrong.
 
I liked the run speed. Dunno how well it's gonna work out in multi though...

Hahaha! Finally someone takes my advice! :cheers:

Its going to be an unbridled system hog beast and I will be forced to wait until a major system overhaul to buy this game (hint: it'll likely be cheaper by the time I do that). :x
