New HL2 leak?

Rumors has it that there's a new HL2 leak on the net. It's supposed to be the same size as the old one, so it could be false. The #halflife2 channel is currently modded too.

If you know anything, please don't post spoilers, images of it or screenshots in-game. Beta spoilers in spoiler tags aren't welcomed either, and they might get you banned.


Anyone know anything more?
 
it's a fake problably.. doom3 also had a threat of a second leak but it turned out to be nothing (this thread will become HUGE)

I the websites to find it and I found nothing new. False.

Rumour has it this 'new leak' is only being distributed between a small number of people atm, this is what my sources tell me. They say they are discussing whether to openly release it.

that even makes me more sure that is a fake...i guess only time will tell
 
Apart from the fact people are supposedly dling it of BitTorrent...

Anyway. I think it isn't new.

your sources are wrong as its bieng spread around like wildfire right now...

Well, my sources are reliable they know the scumbags like ***** and other hackers quite well.

I seriously hope this isn't a new leak, that would just suck :(

Apparently the file size is simmilar, and not the same.
 
If there is anothe one (and i can only hope the people i have spoken to are wrong) then they should be rounded up and put in a big jail full of massive prison dudes who pass them around every day. I HATE HACKERS!

it is possible that there is a real leak, and sites are clamouring for publicity by claiming they have it....

i really dont care either way, even if there were a leak, by the time i finished downloading it hl2 would be out....

if the first delay was caused because of the leak (problably not, but thats not the point), and this leak business is real, then you shouldnt excpect hl2 before 2005

That was because of the source code leaking too, forcing them to re-write the network code.
 
All I am saying is that a thread like this is just fodder for all the Valve naysayers and really isnt necessary. Will it change your wanting to buy the game, no.
 
mmm if there is a new leak and if thats gonna delay HL2 again. Then i think that those ppl who did it this time will be hunted down and squashed like toads!
 
this should be deleted, people will get confused and we arent in the business of spreading false info, especially about Leaks.

but i think its common sence that everyone in this forum will wanna know if this is true or not.. both for people that want it, and people that wanna moan about it

heh, it just might take that long(for me to download it.

if this is a real leak, it will probably not cause any major delay....the game is too far into its final stages to redo it. and if they did decide they needed to edit the code like they did last time, it wouldn't add more than a month(thats all it added last time, like 3 weeks).

i dont think so. hl2 is way too finished for being delayed once again.
 
It could be a revised version of the old leak.....
They are coming out all the time.

This is bad bad news well have to wait for an official word from valve to see if it is true..
