New HL2 leak?

Nothing new has been taken from Valve. Its just the last one with it all put together ina a neat package. The last one had a patch or two and some uncompiled maps.

oh god
since i started this chaos by asking about the leak in #halflife2 i'd like to say something

the torrent that is spreading around is most likely FAKE.
however. that does not mean that the leak is.
remember the first leak? there was 2 gigs of gay porn moving around the net..
later on it tourned out it was real after all. it just hadn't been released to the net.. ANON had it..
 
Lets see, what's the chance Valve would do the same mistake again? Yeah, it's pretty obvious...Gabe Nevell has the entire game and the source code in his home computer. Some guy with a black robe and panty hoes came to his door yesterday and asked if he could use Gabe's PC "jsut to check his email". Gabe of course let the guy "check his email". When this Mr. X had "checked his email" he left and Gabe noticed that everything concerning HL2 had been stolen. I heard this story from my cousin's friend's father who was using some chat somewhere around the world where some guy told he had heard this from someone who makes coffee for Valve and who knows yeah it's obviously true dunno lol

I had a chat with those guys, and they say the leak is real and they'll have downloads and stuff once their new site is up. :/
 
Yes, but that's exactly what they would say, whether the leak was real or not...

say what? okay it's real, but is it new/latest content?
 
Far as I can tell, there isn't a new leak, at best just the old one in which some of the textures and stuff are fixed/created by a third party. The new file I see (didn't download) is bigger but not much bigger: for all anyone knows that could simply be a re-seed of the original leak with worse compression. There are re-seeds on torrent sites all the time, and people are downloading them because they worked themselves up into a frenzy imagining that e3=leaks so any new seeds must be new stuff. They would be downloading whether or not it was real once even a hint of something new got started.
 
I agree with apos, it's probably one of the "patched" versions going around with fixed textures etc
 
It isent new. It was reseeded due to the high demand afer E3. Some shaders where fixed. Nothing new content wise. Same 1 yr old code. Everyone can calm down now. :cheers:

If this is another leak I will personally see to it that I learn absolutly everything about commputers. Then track down the theif and put their head so they are biting the curb and stamp on their head. :) (Saw that in a film... ouch!)



Well, ok I won't. But I would be exceptionally angry. ESPECIALLY if they got the new updated source code and caused another delay. That would get me REALLY pissed off. :hmph:

I'm downloading it, and I don't have the slightest clue why, I don't even want to play it. It's being heavily seeded.
Damn, I hope it's not a new leak... :(

FFS i havent said that the torrent moving around isnt a reseed... BUT there have been posts by mods high up that there is also a NEW leak. wich isnt moving around the net openly yet..
