scrim is short for scrimmages, when 2 clans practice their strategies against eachother.

For instance. A Top 10 clan scrimming a lower clan on a different ladder, so that the lower clan can test their skills and strategies against the better clan. Thus, helping them prepare for the next week of matches. Clans in the same ladder don't usually scrim.

It's not a CS term. It's a multiplayer competative gaming term. Even Quake clans, TFC clans, Tribes clans, and all the others use it. It started before CS was ever conceived.

its more of an amrican term. Europeans use PCW (practice clan war). scrim? does it not come from american football or some obscure sport like that?
