Spazzy. I mean, snazzy. But do we really need a multiple page thread icon? couldn't you tell from the page numbers already?

Ignore them, I'm just cleaning up the file directories. They'll be changing in a second.

The HL2 icons next to the subforums, sorry but they look horrible.

The lambdas have to be orange, just have to be.
That blue-white just reminds me of them. Otherwise a nice idea.

EDIT: Oh! I meant the main forum selection icons, those others should be replaced by the old ones.

Which icons are you talking about? I haven't seen any change.

Wow! They're orange now! Look great! And Monkey, it's the forum selection icons, on the left side of the main forum page.

Can't seem to be able to create circles with decent smooth edges and transparent backgrounds.

Hey hey, I'm online now.

And yeah, I noticed the circles look weird.

Also, the dots to indicate what threads you've posted in don't seem all that dark with the blue skin, but are fine with the tan one.

Hello, and welcome to Hl2.net! Local sleaze pit on this corner of the internet.

Oh my God, I just got up and checked the forums; what happened? Who vandalized us while I was asleep?! There are some horrible people on the internet, but I didn't expect anyone to go this far. Someone made our website ugly as all f*ck. :(

We need to find and apprehend the culprit and string him up by the balls. I can't even...I can't even LOOK at this site now.

What's the problem?

They are a little distracting, and they clash with the forum colors. Good thing they're temporary. ;)

Can you all be a bit more precise... do you mean the post icons, the forum folders, the main page new/old lambda logo post icons, the 'new thread', 'new reply' icons or whatever.

Indeed. I suppose they look OK using the tan template, but on blue style (and really, who uses tan? Blue superior) they look off. They're also large. TOO large. And yeah, distracting's a good way to put it. When you're scrolling down a page with all these orange lambdas on a gray background, it doesn't mesh.

Also those folder icons, did we have those before? I can't remember ever noticing them so much if we did. Makes me think I'm browsing Windows Explorer.

As Darkside said, it's mainly the lambdas on the main forum pages. The other additions are a little more subtle.

I don't mind them personally (I like the HL-ness of them) but the lambdas on the main page are a little garish.

They go horrible with my lovely blue. They don't splice well with the design.

EDIT: The icons look sharper now. But take away the orange...I mean yeah, that's kinda Half-life, but you can change them for the sake of design me thinks. (and take away the box)

Lambda icons are great, but I really don't like online/offline icons, they ruined design of my profile.

Do not want.

I think they should be smaller, and color changed to sync with the site's color scheme.

I don't like the online/offline icons next to the username. Next to the postcount or near the Report Post button would be better.

Shouldn't it be an orange lambda with a transparent BG? Even fake transparency (use the background color from the two themes and have separate icons for either) would be good.

Had them over the missus' (thus the post earlier) but not home on FireFox...can't be arsed Ctrl+F5'ing :p

I was messing around with the orange lambda "new posts" icon in photoshop, and I ended up with this. I thought they looked pretty good.. :) Obviously I did them quickly, that's why they are lop-sided and everything. It wouldn't be too hard to even them up, though..

EDIT: Sorry for the jpeg quality, it's 1024 x 768, now consider the size of the pic if I used bmp, then consider that I've got dial-up..

EDIT2: It might look softer then it is because the crap quality, here's a new (higher quality) one, Veg.

Here.

uhh... looks like imageshack scaled it down... It doesn't look as soft as that, though - trust me.

Dogg--'s looks 100% better.
I agree that it looks better because it's much less vibrant and distracting, but it shouldn't be so soft looking.

I say icons like the ones now except duller colors or something.

Here are the same, except not as soft looking, with no shadows, and not lop-sided..

EDIT: looks like they chose :)

You're too busy to be posting.

Something... seriously... wrong with this.

*generic objection to anything new*

I'm hungry for an orange. D:
