The newest issue of Game Informer magazine has a cover story on BioShock, the upcoming first person action-RPG from developer Irrational Games and publisher 2K Games. The article contains the first details about the game since its inital announcement in a GameSpot story way back in late 2004. According to the article BioShock takes place in the early 1960's where your player character finds himself in the middle of the ocean, the victim of an apparent airplane crash. Through a series of events your character finds himself going underwater and finding an undersea complex called Rapture, which was set up in the 1940s as a kind of utopian complex that failed. BioShock takes place mostly in Rapture as you deal with and fight with its citizens, and the RPG aspect comes into play as your character has abilities upgraded by Plasmids, including upgrades to weapons, psi powers and even a crafting system where the player can create new weapons and items.. The game is due out for the PC and Xbox 360 (and maybe the PS3) in 2007.

some details
* A gameplay based on the choices of the player and personalization (of its character).
* The play proceeds at the beginning of the Sixties.
* The principal objective of the developers is to plunge the player in the history.
* The adventure begins in the medium from the ocean, whereas one finds oneself encircled remains and that one tries to survive.
* There will be marine creatures discovered by scientists (what the fans of the Surface series will surely like, from which the first season just comes to finish).
* "We create a world with living. What you do depends only on you, and you will have to assume the consequences of your choices ".
* One of the characteristics of the character is the agility, and the fact of moving more quickly.
* The majority of the improvements will affect the weapons.
* One will be able to create weapons and objects
* One will be able "to pirate tricks" while becoming engineer.
* A solution with the play would be useless, insofar as one does really what one wants as one wants.
* BioShock contains many mysteries.
* And, last goal not least : the play is envisaged on PC and, surprised gross, Xbox 360.
