The guy doing the final hours of Half Life 2 article at Gamespot, talks a bit about the leak, and various other interesting tidbits. The article will be up next week.

Here's the link.

YEESSSS!! it looks like a trailer, maybe in a couple of days! :bounce: :rolling: :)

I didn't see any new video footage :rolling:

That's the e3 2004 trailer they're playing. Don't worry, there's no spoilers in it!
Interesting tidbit: Valve originally planned to unveil Half-life 2 at E3 2002 but decided not to because they were not satisfied with the work they did so far.

12 to 15 hours is a bit disappointing. But if there is lots of replay value.

i hope people do not take that 12-15 hours as an exact time, it depends on YOU! not him or anyone els and depends on how u play the game so dont worry if u think 15 hours is not long

Very few FPS lasts more than 12 to 15 hours, and like somebody said, it depends on how you play.

It depends on how fast you go through. One guy ran through the game(HL1) in 45 minutes.

Ah sweet they are doing another Final Hours article :D

To all you noobs in the forums, there was an article that was released around on Gamestop after HL1 was released and talked about the end of development what it was like, what went down, the parties afterward etc etc

Can't wait :)

Oh and why do you guys trust these game reporters so much? Considering we all play at our own pace there is no way to measure it.... Even if it was 12 to 15 hours, I'd be fine with that :D Many hours of gaming!

AND they went to VALVe to play, he played it in TWO days that is not the best way to enjoy a game like HL2, at least is not the way that I play games.

Exactally. Even if he is a "hardcore gamer", i do believe that he probably rushed through it so he could see it all. Personally, i plan to take the first time through nice and slow. Later, i'll up the difficulty and try flying through it :p

Oh yea, and that was a cool interview! I can't wait to read that article (the previous one was very interesting). So it's coming one week from today, then?

wtf, the hacker and gabe sent emails to each other?!... i can't wait to read the after hours article, i read the first one on hl1, it was a great read.

12 to 15 hours? Geeze the guy must've just flown through it on easy.

The magazine reviewers have consistently stated that it's between 17 to 20 hours and longer if you explore/experiment.

I wouldn't take this GS guy's word for it as being what we'd spend playing the game.

damn 12-15 hours?

stop evading reality

HL was around 15 hours and it was a very good experience. I can't wait for HL2. I know it will take me longer personally because I will be taking everything in and doing things slowly.

I'm NOT evading reality. I'm merely stating what OTHER reviewers have said from their gameplay experiences. You know the PC Gamer US guy who completed it in 17 hours but said he could see it going a little above 20. Or the European reviewers who said it took them around 19 to 20 hours.

THAT is reality too my friend!

Wtf are people going on about 12-15 hours is great if only all games lasted this long, COme on and as the guy at gamespot said doom 3 was to long, it just got broing well maybe that was the repative game play but still. 15 = coolness

Does anybody else think that the host wearing the Michigan jersey must be Jay Mohr's brother or something? It's uncanny.

Damn I wish it would be for than 15 hours. :( But I will mess around alot so it will last awhile.

ARRRRGGGHHHH...it's MORE than 15 hours if you play it the way it was meant to be played. Please read what I said about what the magazine reviewers and their time length estimations!

well whatever then I think the official playtime now is 15-20 hours

yeah pcgamer said the 17 hours can be stretched but remember, they stopped reviewing games 5 years ago. now their work is to praise games

I think the game will be cool but some things are disapointing, like the playtime

i heard about that. do you have a link to it? i wanan see it

search what?! hl video? that would bring up like 1000 results. i would need to know what the video was named to be able to search it effectively

They were probably rushed through the game. I doubt they had all the time in the world to look around.
