hey again guys sorry for posting twice but I'm going to be ordering my laptop very soon and I was just wondering if I could get some quick simple answers.

All im really looking for is what would be a good:

CPU:

Graphics Card:

Ram type:

for a laptop that im going to be paying 600-650 canadian for.

Thanks again guys and again sorry for the 2nd post. ive been looking online too but I just dont understand the difference between some of the ram and cpu's so I would really like your advice!! thanks!

What are you looking to do with your laptop?

Laptops are pretty expensive as I'm sure you've seen as soon as you start looking into larger screens / faster processors and graphics cards.

This is also a trade off with mobility and battery life. Big screens and graphics cards, make it heavier and the battery won't last as long. Whereas a small notebook like the Eee PC has lots of power because it's an extremely basic concept.

Essentially you'll be looking for a dual core processor around over the 2.0ghz area. 2-4GB of RAM, 100-160GB Hard drive, widescreen 15"-17" (down to personal preference), inbuilt wireless LAN, DVD+RW rewriter, Windows Vista Premium / Ultimate.

Other things are extras depending if you want to spend the money. Adding a graphics card is expensive. Nvidia have a good few cards which you can look at (Nvidia GeForce 9800M GTX 1GB, Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M - listed most > least powerful). Bluetooth built in is nice, card readers, built in webcam + microphone.
