Valve PR Guru Doug Lombardi just got in touch with us with these brand new screens showing off the final User Interface for the Xbox 360 version of Left 4 Dead.

You can see all the menus and the chapter selections as well as the achievements page. It is one good looking menu system if I may say so myself.

Looks good, but where is the PC one :( It would probably look the same I guess.

Wow looks like you can customize just about everything. They even have closed captioning which is great because not many multiplayer games or games for that matter have that feature. Usually I hear, :p, they must download a program that put's CC on the screen which doesn't work too well. Another way is for the damage arrows on the screen. *Is that the correct order in missions?! As in Blood Harvest has been the ending all along? :O

It will look like all other Source games more or less mixed with that.

Also, that looks very nice. I can't wait to touch this game. Like OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. I feel like a giddy school girl! Hahaha

Looks pretty nice

Well, looking through the achievements in the one image for an avatar, there is definitely something in the lower right corner of all the "beat the campaign achievements". It looks like a man in a wheelchair. Speculation?

I think this might be one of the oddest news posts on HL2.net, it's literally a news post about menus.

Hmm how long is the campaign set to be? (in hrs of gameplay)

1-2 hours per campaign IIRC.

So, in total say, 4-8 hours + AI Director (replayability) + post-release content + being multiplayer... and people wonder if the price tag is worth it.

I do, I want to know if it'll be fun for more than 5 minutes. The demo should reveal that.

Shacknews is reporting that the system specs have been revised:

The main difference being the reduced memory on the GPU (now 128) and its clear now that it does list 3 CPU types not 2.

* OS: Windows XP, Vista, Vista64
* CPU: 3.0 GHz P4, Dual Core 2.0 or AMD64X2 (or higher)
* RAM: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
* Disc drive: DVD-ROM Drive
* Hard drive: At least 7.5 GB of free space
* Video: Direct X 9 compatible video card - Video card must be 128 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for pixel shader 2.0 (ATI 9600 or high. Or, Nvidia 6600 or higher)
* Sound: Direct X9.0c compatible sound card

Woah, menu screens... I'm sure I will have seen them enough by the time I get the game! I feel like I have played this game already with all these random posts! :p

Hence the consumer anticipation about this game. :) If it were a post about Peggle Nights menu people would be asking what hl2.net is smoking. But since this is L4D, a lot of people get whatever bits of info they can.

Interesting about the film grain setting, I am still undecided about it from playing Mass Effect.

Oh I get it, but it is still absurd ;)
