New map in the making, teaser pictures!

Not sure what it's going to be called. The filename as of now is cs_apartmentclash lol. CT's start on the first floor on the apartment complex, will have to run up the circular stairs and the T's will start on the roof.

ALOT of cubemaps were put in this room lol.

whoa looks very nice! I love the lighting for the windows, it gives its a surreal morning feel. I hope the rest of the map has this level of polish.

How many maps do you make at once? Lol. Btw, that kind of environment would suit HL2 Single player. (Which is a good thing ) Oh and how did you do that window lighting effect?

i think that the map is a bit too large scaled.. the player looks so small in that room.. well if you do something about that it will look like a very promising map! well done :E

If you look at the player near the props, it looks like he is actually crouching. Which in turn would make the room a little better scaled than what it appears.

edit: i d/led dumpit, but i've reinstalled it twice and it's still giving me some coding error

It's in the props/cs_office folder I believe.

Here's my problem, I'm making an hl2dm map, not a cs map. I added the cstrike.fgd to my datafiles, but cs's models still don't appear in the model selection box. apparently valve has gone and zipped up all the game content in gcf files and dumpit is not working. all i need is for someone who has dumpit to zip it up and upload it or email it to me [email protected] or if someone has gotten the same error as i have been getting i would really appreciate help in working it out. "SteamGetAppIds failed with error 8: app provided bad argument to Steam API"

LOL it's cuz im crouched, wanted to get as much of the room in as possible lol.

Lighting effect was easy. I put the window, outside is a small enclosed "room" that's all painted white. And i have point_spotlight infront of the window on the inside with a yellowish tint and light_spot outside of the window inside the enclosed white "room". I saw it in that level, doctor kleiner's lab and thought it looked nice, but had to figure out how to do it myself tho.

NJ thug, its weird how you and I are on a similar page level making wise..

My first level was an old apartment euro style, then i went on to playing with a 747 level, and now im finish up my cs_bank.

By the way are you going to finish 747?
