Whats happend to all these videos they were releasing. Im sure I read somewhere there was meant to be new stuff we havent seen yet before the release of HL2. If September 30th is the planned date of release then surly valve are pushing these extras?

The 3 remaining Half Life videos will be released after the Steam beta ends.

The Steam beta will end on Wednesday.

steam beta was gonna end on monday, then tuesday, and now wednesday.
lets hope this isnt the case with hl2 final.

Erm, what?

The Steam end date hasn't changed ever. It, technically ends on Tuesday but you won't be able to install the final Steam version till Wednesday.

Well, kinda, for updates and stuff.

Don't expect to download any games over it though.

I dont think that you would have to have a game relating to Valve installed in order to use Steam. You will if you wanna play over steam. And if that is the case, then, wait a day or two, and it will find itself on the internet, like on www.gametrailers.com I usually go their to get my movies and stuff. They have fast servers.

To carry on using Steam for anything at all you will NEED a VALID CD Key for either HL, HL: Counter-Strike or DOD and later on CS:CZ or HL2. (maybe Gunman Chronicles?)

You cannot carry on playing Half-Life online, or get it updated unless you have a valid CD key.

All MODs will now use Steam as its launcher and will be authenticated by Steam as opposed to WON.

If you like playing things like Natural Selection, The Specialists and Counter-Strike (1.5 mod version) then you will have a legit copy of any of the above retail products with a valid CD key so it won't be a problem for you. If you like to play the MODs above but don't have a valid CD key then you've clearly got a pirated version of HL1 etc. and deserve never to be able to play its MODs again.

I didn't say that. They will be released shortly after the Beta ends. Probably a few days.

Although they may release them straight away, that will be nice.

In addition, the last "three" HL2 movies are scheduled to come out immediately after the full version of Steam is released.
