You may have made 1000 posts and gotten you own tag before me EVIL.

But look who became a moderator.

MUHAHAHAHAHA

you damn filthy piece off blieperdebliepbliep........blieperdiebliep*

*bliep*

EVIL couldn't be a moderator. We already have Munro. That'd be like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters.

great, now even admins think its funny -_-

i was laughing at Zerim's comment :cheese:

It's a bad idea to give a kid that responsibility.

How old are you?

I know for one thing that MrBadger certainly has more sense than you do. Already you are doing what i said you shouldnt do. You started out as a humerous person but you began posting more and more and it started becoming pointless.

Im 17, MrBadger is 16. Are we kids in your eyes? Munro himself is only 19. Should he let go of his place as Administator?

I'm 19 and turn 20 in September.

I just think they should have a mod team thats had more experience with forums in the past.

The only thing you need is common sense..

Yes. :flame:

Fire <------Burn in it.:cheese:

No it doesnt because I havnt seen you close a thread or edit a post that didnt require it.

I'm still at college, i haven't actually been a mod before. I don't run any teams. But they still felt i was able. Most likely because i have stuck to the rules and have demonstrated that i have sense. I know when something is offensive and when something is funny. Or when something is pointless and something is there for a reason.

You stated your opinion, which looked like whining to me, but that doesn't matter. Everyone else mearly stated their opinions. They are just as entitled to do so as you are.

I have been (still am) a mod on a dutch kiddie anime board for almost a year now (helping the next generation of webmasters - webmaster forum), I am experienced in that kind of work, I ran some small forums myself (ubb and vbullitin phpbb and invisionboard) so I am also experienced in the structure and how everything works. I guess I am a more experienced guy (19 year) then badger, but he is cool, nice guy and all. just cant stand it that he has kicked it up to mod before me ;P

/me hugs mrBadger :D

thnx for the /me command kiddo! I guess starmonkey was lazy to add it back in himself (he has done it before)

damn, there is a fly in my drink

edit: yeah, I just thought id share that will you...

useful post, Fireball :P.... Thanks for the compliment EVIL :) its very much appriciated :E.....

/me returns EVIL's hug :)

What are the qualifications to becoming a moderator in the halflife2.net forums anyway?

Basically. Be MrBadger or FarrowLeSparrow :)

Seriously though. I think that sticking to the rules, being around a fair bit and demonstrating common sense. Are prerequisites. Then (and to be honest I'm making all this up) i think its just up to the Admin(s) to decided who would be a nice guy to get along with as well as whether they would know when and when not to use their powers. For instance, the closing of a thread. A thread might be closed because a Mod thinks its spam or something. But that might just be his opinion. I think a mod has to be more objective. Thats pretty difficult to achieve really and i don't think anyone can really take a viewpoint thats "outside of their own experience", but we can try

/me watch farrowlesparrow failing to take a objective viewpoint. mwuhaha. ;).. you are ok to
